We are a group of Educational and Child Psychologists passionate about bringing psychology and evidence-based practice to schools. Jointly completing our doctoral-level qualification in Educational and Child Psychology at University College London (UCL) fostered our friendship and shared vision of gold-standard systemic support for schools, academies and trusts that enables and empowers the whole system.
Hello, my name is Louisa and I am an Educational and Child Psychologist. I completed my doctoral training at UCL, which is where I met Shahid and Alicja.
I completed my thesis research on mindfulness in schools, exploring the impact on and factors affecting pupil and staff wellbeing. Through my work as an Educational and Child Psychologist, in both local authority and independent practice, I have further developed my specialism and interest in promoting well-being in schools and communities. I value the importance of working in partnership with and empowering key adults who work with and care for children and young people and supporting their capacity through evidence based approaches. In the context of this, I have completed further training and qualifications across the areas of and have a keen interest in supervision, mindfulness and VIG.
Hi, my name is Alicja and I am an Educational, Child, and Community Psychologist. I completed my doctoral course at University College London (UCL) and have recently published research on autistic spectrum conditions and camouflaging/masking. I have passion for research and evidence-based practice and continue to be involved in research projects and provide research consultancy. Prior to my work at LPT I worked as a local authority Educational Psychologist.
I am a strong believer in empowerment of others, with a keen interest for implementation science. I work as a tutor for the National SENCo award as well as the Senior Mental Health Practitioner Award. I am currently a research advisor at the UCL doctoral course and continue to be actively involved in research work.
Hi, I’m Shahid an Educational and Child Psychologist with a range of interests including community psychology and cultural competence. This has been informed by both my current EP experience and previous roles, including: facilitating co-production projects; working as a secondary Science teacher; and delivering mental health training to young people, with a focus on Young Carers. I received my doctorate in Educational and Child Psychology at University College London (UCL) where I produced a thesis exploring secondary school staff’s perceptions of delivering Relationships and Sexuality Education to students with Autism. I investigated school systems, intersectionality, RSE, and how students with Autism are perceived.
It is important to me, inside and outside of my practice, to advocate for those who are “done to” by mediating conversations and empowering others to see how they might support others. I have further worked towards this by training in Narrative Therapy.
We pride ourselves on delivering training content and supervision supported by evidence, research and scientific principles.
