ELSA Early Years – September 2026

The ELSA (Emotional Literacy Support Assistant) Early Years course is designed to support early years settings in meeting the emotional and social needs of young children using their own staff and resources. The programme focuses on early identification and support, helping children develop the emotional foundations they need for learning, relationships and wellbeing. This is achieved by training early years support staff to plan and deliver developmentally appropriate, individualised emotional support for children within their setting.
